Lofting is the first process in the steel structure production process, according to the shape and size of the product construction detail drawing or zero, parts drawing requirements, according to the 1:1 ratio of the product or zero, parts of the solid drawing on the lofting table or plate, to obtain the real length and make a template process.
Hot rolled section steel usually does not show distortion buckling during relofting. However, the cold-rolled components usually used are not as stable as the hot-rolled components, and are prone to secondary torsion and deflection. Therefore, steel structure companies will design by purlins and trusses to support the entire structure to prevent the occurrence of the above situation. The support system of steel structure engineering needs to provide stability for cold-formed steel components, and the requirements of cold-formed steel components on the support system will be relatively low, and this process can be predicted in advance.
Lofting content: check the installation size and hole distance of the drawing; Release nodes in a 1:1 scale; Check the dimensions of each part; Make templates and sample rods as the basis for cutting, bending, milling, planing, hole making and other processing. Use 0.50 ~ 0.75mm iron sheet or plastic board to make the template, use wood rod, steel sheet or flat iron to make the sample rod, when the length is short, the wooden ruler rod can be used. The sample rod and sample shall be properly stored and destroyed until the completion of the project. Machining allowance 3 ~ 5mm(welding shrinkage, cutting, milling end), allowable deviation ±1mm.

Marking (marking) : according to the template, draw the real sample of the member on the steel, and mark various processing marks to prepare for the cutting of the steel. Marking (marking) acts as a support for beams and purlins and can resist the longitudinal load applied to the steel structure engineering panel. Without purlins to support the roof panels, trusses supporting the wall panels can deform and reduce reliability when pressure on the walls or roof panels distorts or bends the web and flanges of the secondary frame.
